Hotel San Michele - Cortona

This place is good, and has free wi-fi, luggage storage, and 24-hour reception. On my first stay, the staff helped me with directions, which I remember fondly. Always coming back for Christmas!

A very cozy building in the heart of Cortona. From the bus stop 15 minutes on foot. Light filled unit with a view. A huge variety of options for breakfast, delightful scrambled eggs and bacon.

A charming stay with steep climbs

Hotel San Michele captivated us with its fine location and historic charm. The spacious common areas offered cozy spots to relax, and we enjoyed the hearty breakfast daily with local pastries.

Be prepared for steep walks, as Cortona is hilly and can be exhausting for those with mobility issues. While our room was comfortable, the air conditioning left something to be desired during warm nights.

The hotel is beautiful! It has the same feel as the old town it resides in. The location could not be better, on a lovely old small street just of the main piazza. The staff is very attending and helpful. They also swiftly took care of the parking of the car. Choose this hotel.

Just spent a week at San Michele, and I loved the historic vibe! The breakfast spread was great, and staff did a fantastic job making us feel at home. Only downside was dealing with a single keycard, but everything else was smooth sailing.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Great breakfast, and ideal location. Locals also had great things to say about the hotel, so they have a great reputation in the area.

Good central location for exploring Cortona, able to walk to all places of interest and restaurants. We were there during the Tuscan Sun Festival so lots of activities to join in with.

The staff were warm and helpful, quickly assisting me with my luggage and offering good dining recommendations. The breakfast had a wonderful variety of fresh local products, and the charming atmosphere.

Very good 4*-Hotel in a very good location in the old town. Very clean, lovely, "sehr gemuetlich" which is obviously german for "very cosy and comfortable" and so much more. Good breakfast for italian standards. We would always like to come back.

Unusual hotel & spotless, its location is unbeatable in the town centre. The double room is light filled and has central heating, a safe and multi-channel TV. The breakfast is delicious, one of the best things. Thanks very much for providing us with a perfect stay.

I found it difficult to navigate the steep paths leading to the hotel, which became particularly exhausting with luggage. The air conditioning in my room was inadequate for the warm nights. Finally, I noticed the breakfast area felt a bit cramped and dark, leading to service delays and a less-than-ideal start to my mornings.
